Birthday Bash

Chris wanted a small, fun get-together to celebrate his 40 years of life. His only specific request was to have cupcakes -- white cupcakes with white and chocolate frosting to be exact (according to Chris cupcakes are severely underrated). So we invited his family and a few close friends over for Chicago-style BBQ, a toast/roast of Chris, and cupcakes of course.

We had a blast walking down memory lane. Dad Calvert emceed a great toast/roast where I even learned new things about Chris. And to keep the spirit of youth in the party, we had a pinata full of goodies. Chad, Bobby, Ross, and Tina (4/5 of Chris's siblings) along with Mom and Dad Calvert traveled over 5,000 miles collectively to be here for the party. Randy, we missed you!

Blowing out the requested cupcakes with a little help from niece Calyx
Scott Rollins "roasting" Chris
Cody swinging with his all at the pinata
Enjoying some of the b-day BBQ (love Cal's face)
Love the hat!
