One year old

Calahan turned one on May 10th!  It's hard to believe that our little guy is now a toddler.  Since he loves animals, we took him to the zoo to celebrate his big day.  We should have taken him to the mall instead because he was far more interested in the people than the animals.  He did get slightly excited about petting a goat and watching the rhinos.

No birthday is complete without cake and we gave Cal a whole bunch of cupcake choices.  He attacked the cupcakes with both hands only to realize that they made him very sticky.  Calahan doesn't like to be dirty and immediately began to wipe off the frosting... on his clothes of course!

We are so grateful to have this little guy and are looking forward to another great year.

Finally and It’s About Time!

That's what Grammy is saying as she reads the first official Calvert family blog posting.  Chris and I usually consider ourselves early adopters of technology, but we've been slow to get into blogging.  We love keeping up with our friends and family through their blogs and with a one-year old and a baby on the way, we've decided to finally get our page launched.
The Calvert Corner will be a place where we record family happenings, fun conversations, and our random thoughts.  We hope it will serve as a family journal that our children and grandchildren will enjoy someday.  We can't promise that it will always be interesting, but we invite you to share in our adventures in our little corner of the world.
