Belated Father's Day Post

Chris often reminds me that kids don't come with instruction manuals. Isn't that the truth? If they they did, there would be a big warning label on the front of the manual that may likely scare away prospective parents!

From observing Chris with our two precious boys, you wouldn't know that our kiddos didn't come with instructions. He's such a natural with them. The boys adore their dad (and so do I) and compete for his attention.

Chris is the perfect parenting partner. He's patient and loving, but can be firm when he needs to be. The boys especially love their before bedtime wrestling sessions and working outside with dad moments.

The boys and I honored Chris by letting him take a long afternoon nap and making his special request dinner: hot wings, blue cheese dip, broccoli au gratin rice and angel food cake with chocolate frosting for dessert.

P.S. -- Since we don't use Canola or Vegetable oil anymore, we had to get creative with the wings. We pan-fried them in coconut oil and they were excellent!
